For a short Stanley call, Gypsy Cove is usually the easiest penguin trip to fit because it is only about 8.5 km from central Stanley. Bertha’s Beach can work with properly arranged access and more time. Volunteer Point is the flagship king-penguin experience but normally needs most of a port day.

Magellanic penguins and coastal scenery close to Stanley make Gypsy Cove compatible with a museum or town visit. On busy cruise days, local transport may operate to the area, but do not assume availability.
Bertha’s Beach: more planning, broader setting
Bertha’s offers gentoo and Magellanic penguins in a large beach and wetland environment. Day visitors require permission, so it belongs in a pre-arranged excursion plan.
Volunteer Point: only with enough time
Choose Volunteer Point when king penguins justify the long road/off-road journey and your ship has a suitable call length. Permission is mandatory and the private access track cannot be used without authorization.
